RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Louis, June 5, 2006-The RiverCity Rage are proud to announce that a Rage player has grabbed a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Honor. Josh Lamberson former QB for the Northwest Missouri Bearcats was honored last week in Kansas City by becoming the male recipient of the 2006 Ken B. Jones Award. The award is named for the MIAA's first full- time commissioner. Jones passed away back in May 2004.

The Rage know Lamberson will bring something special to the team, "We are extremely pleased for Josh. The Ken B. Jones Awards fits Josh as player but more importantly as a person. He brings a lot to this team in the form of character," said Mike Wyatt, Head Coach.

"Josh is a wonderful player. He and the Bearcats had a lot of success at the end of the season by becoming a strong team after losing a couple of games and they really came together after falling to Pittsburg State at Arrow Head Stadium. Josh really was the leader of that team. He went to Northwest to get a good education, and not with the idea of playing professional football. With having a 4.0 GPA, Josh the ideal MIAA Student Athlete," said MIAA Commissioner Ralph McFillen.
