RYAN'S ON RECORD WATCH: INF Ryan Bliss is on the verge of breaking Tacoma's career franchise stolen base record...Bliss stole another base on Sunday night, tying Samad Taylor's franchise record of 94 steals, set last season...Bliss matched his career-high with three steals on Saturday night, the fourth three-steal game of his career, and first since September 1, 2023 against Sugar Land...Bliss' 22 steals this season are the eighth-most in the Pacific Coast League, and his 99 steals (5 with Reno, 94 with Tacoma) since his Triple-A debut on July 14, 2023, are the fifth-most in Triple-A.

NEW PITCHING PIECES: The Seattle Mariners claimed RHP Nolan Kingham off waivers from the Texas Rangers, and assigned him to Tacoma as well as signing RHP Scott Effross to a minor league contract and assigned him to Tacoma...Kingham, 29, began the season in the Mexican League with Monterrey, where he went 3-0 with a 1.82 ERA (7ER/34.2 IP), walking six and striking out 29...after signing a minor league contract with the Rangers on May 28, Kingham went 2-5 with a 6.99 ERA in 11 appearances (10 starts) with Triple-A Round Rock, working a 17BB/44K ratio in 46.1 innings...the Las Vegas native is coming off of his Major League debut with Texas on August 3 against San Francisco, where he allowed a run in 1.0 inning of work, and was designated for assignment on August 7...Effross, 32, has pitched the bulk of the season with Triple-A Toledo, going 3-1 with a 4.46 ERA in 27 appearances, striking out 26 while walking just nine over 36.1 innings...Effross has pitched parts of four seasons in the Major Leagues, spending time with the Chicago Cubs (2021-22) and the New York Yankees (2022, 2024-25), combining to go 3-5 with a 3.59 ERA in 88 games.

REHAB REPORT: The Seattle Mariners transferred RHP Carlos Vargas' Major League rehab assignment to Tacoma on Tuesday...Vargas, 26, was placed on the Mariners 15-Day Injured List on March 24 with a right lat strain...Vargas began his rehab assignment with High-A Everett on Saturday, throwing a perfect inning, retiring the side on nine pitches...Vargas made 70 appearances with the Mariners in 2025, the third most on the team, going 5-5 with a 3.97 ERA, walking 23 with 54 strikeouts...Vargas appeared in 55 games with Tacoma in 2024, the most for a Rainiers pitcher in a single season since Kevin Gryboski and Justin Kaye made 58 and 56 appearances in 2001, respectively.

WORDS OF WISDOM: INF Patrick Wisdom matched his career-high by clubbing his league-leading 31st home run of the season on Sunday night, hitting it 457 feet, the longest Rainiers home run this season...Wisdom is the seventh player in franchise history to record at least 31 home runs in a single season, with Sunday's home run marking the third time he's hit 31 home runs in a season in his career (31 in 2017, 31 in 2019)... Wisdom is the second Triple-A hitter since 2005 to tally three 30-homer campaigns, joining Mike Hessman, who hit 31 in 2007, 34 in 2008 and 35 in 2012...Wisdom is the seventh player in franchise history to hit 31 HR in a single season, here is how his stats stack up against the others:
