Syracuse Crunch to Hold Ice Girls, Mascot and Anthem Singers Auditions September 10

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch will be holding auditions for Ice Girls, mascot and anthem singers on Thursday, September 10 on stage at the War Memorial Arena. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. and auditions begin at 6 p.m.

The Syracuse Crunch Ice Girls serve as the club's promotional team. The Crunch are looking for outgoing, physically fit women with energetic personalities who have a passion for Syracuse Crunch hockey. The Ice Girls will be an integral part of the Crunch's on-ice entertainment and fan experience along with serving as Crunch representatives at multiple community events. Team members will greet fans at all home games, participate in in-game promotions and be featured on numerous promotional items. Ice Girls applicants should come prepared in form-fitting clothes that best showcase their style.

Participants auditioning for the Crunch mascot should be prepared to represent the Syracuse Crunch at community events or Crunch home games that the primary mascot cannot attend. The mascot will work with a wide range of fans at these events and gain the experience of working for a professional sports team. Participants will be asked to showcase their outgoing personality during the audition.

Anthem singers will be asked to sing The Star-Spangled Banner in acapella style. The anthem should not exceed 90 seconds and not be overly stylized. Individuals and groups may audition to perform the national anthem at an upcoming home Crunch game.

Auditions for Ice Girls, mascot and anthem singers are open to the public. Participants should pre-register. Applicants for Ice Girls and mascot must be 18 years of age to audition. There is no age restriction for anthem singers.
