
Syracuse Crunch Sign Forwards Ryan Martindale and Kevin Lynch to PTOs

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have signed forwards Ryan Martindale and Kevin Lynch to professional try-out contracts, Crunch general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Martindale, 24, has skated in 22 games with the Florida Everblades this season, posting five goals, 12 assists and eight penalty minutes. During the 2014-15 season, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound center appeared in 19 games with the Crunch, tallying eight goals, six assists to go along with four penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating after joining the team from the San Antonio Rampage. With the Rampage, Martindale put up 13 points (8g, 5a) in 45 contests.
The fourth-year pro has appeared in 180 American Hockey League games with the Crunch, Rampage and Oklahoma City Barons, totaling 30 goals and 67 points. He made his AHL debut Dec. 10, 2011, with Oklahoma City. The Oshawa, Ontario native has also played 61 career games in the ECHL with the Everblades and the Stockton Thunder.
Martindale was selected in the third round, 61st overall, by the Edmonton Oilers at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Lynch, 24, has played in five games with the Manitoba Moose this season, recording two penalty minutes. He has also posted eight goals and 18 assists along with a plus-9 rating with the Everblades. Last season, he registered four points (3g, 1a) and 20 penalty minutes in 53 games with the Crunch and seven points (2g, 5a) and 12 penalty minutes with the Everblades.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound center has skated in 111 career ECHL games, posting 67 points (23g, 44a) and 46 penalty minutes with the Everblades, Evansville Icemen and Toledo Walleye.
Prior to his professional career, Lynch appeared in 168 games over four years at the University of Michigan totaling 72 points (35g, 37a). The Grosse Pointe, Michigan native was a second-round selection, 56th overall, of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
