
Switchbacks FC Sign Midfielder Tyreek Magee Formerly of KAS Eupen

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today it had acquired Midfielder Tyreek Magee for the 2023 season formerly of the club KAS Eupen of the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium. This move is pending league and federation approval.
"I'm excited to be in Colorado Springs with the Switchbacks this season," said Magee. "I'm excited to use my qualities to help make the team better."
During the current season with KAS Eupen, Magee has made five appearances for the Belgian side, all of which were substitutions. He competed for 88 minutes among those appearances.
The native of Kingston, Jamaica is also a member of the Jamaican Men's National Team where he has competed in four different international competitions, the most notable being the 2019 Gold Cup, and qualification matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He has appeared for in nine matches, starting three, for the Reggae Boyz tallying 368 minutes.
"[Tyreek] is a young player who has played at the top level in Belgium," said Head Coach Stephen Hogan. "He is coming back to the States to hopefully make a statement! His work ethic and ambition for his career got us interested in him. He is a very creative player with great vision and awareness. I'm excited to see him progress here and contribute to our success."
