Chilliwack Bruins News Release
Perdubice, Czech Republic - Oscar Moller of the Chilliwack Bruins had four shots on goal, but did not factor in the scoring as Team Sweden opens up the World Junior Tourney with a 4-3 victory over Team Slovakia. Moller, playing on a line with Patrik Berglund and Johan Alcen, was also part of the first unit Swedish Power Play. Team Sweden's special teams led the way as they scored three power play goals and one short handed. Robin Figren, who plays in the WHL with the Edmonton Oil Kings, scored a shorthanded goal and a power play marker for the Swedes in their victory. Moller, officially a -1 in the game, was a key part of this game, as both linemates, Berglund and Alcen had the other Team Sweden goals.
Sweden moves to 1-0 in the preliminary round. Their next action will be Friday, when Team Sweden takes on Team Denmark.
