SWB Yankees and Indianapolis Suspended

Indianapolis, IN - Rain at Victory Field in Indianapolis, Indiana forced the suspension of Thursday night's third game of a four game series between the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and the Indianapolis Indians in the middle of the fourth inning with the Yankees leading the game 8-5.

The game will be picked up starting in the bottom half of the fourth inning on Friday, May 21st with the Indians at the plate. The suspended game will be played through its completion with the regularly scheduled game for Friday shortened to a seven inning game.

Neither the Yankees nor Indians have announced the pitchers that will begin the suspended game when it resumes. The starters for the second game on the night will be right hander Zach McAllister (2-2, 4.40) for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and right hander Hayden Penn (0-0, 3.27) for the Indians.

Following the wrap up games in Indianapolis on Friday the Yankees will continue the road trip on Saturday will a four game series at Louisville against the Bats at Louisville Slugger Field.
