
SwampDogs Participate in Annual "Glory Days"

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville SwampDogs once again took part in the annual "Glory Days" festivities in downtown Fayetteville over the Memorial Day holiday.
Fans were able to meet some of players from the current team, as well as hang out with Fungo. The players timed the speed of pitchers from the fans and offered face painting to the younger SwampDogs fanatics.
Visitors to the booth were also able to register for a free "Family 4 Pack" of tickets to an upcoming SwampDogs home game.

The Fayetteville SwampDogs are a member of the Coastal Plain League, entering their 11th season in the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 15th season, the Coastal Plain League features 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. Furthermore, the CPL has had more than 800 alums drafted and 44 alums make their major league debut thus far.
