Surge Announce Schedule

Mississippi Surge News Release
The Mississippi Surge will begin defense of its Southern Professional Hockey League President's Cup title in the same place they won the trophy last March.
The Surge opens the 2011-12 season at Augusta against the RiverHawks, the first of three straight road games to begin the season. After stops in Knoxville and Columbus, the defending champs will return to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday October 28 to host the Huntsville Havoc at 7:05 p.m.
That will be one of 10 Friday home games for the Surge this season.
"It's a very fan friendly schedule. Twenty-three of our 28 home games are weekend dates, which makes it very easy to have the whole family come to Surge games" team vice-president of communications Steve McCall said.
The Surge will play nine Saturday home games and four on Sunday. Home games will start at 7:05 p.m., except for Sundays which face off at 5:05 p.m. The Louisiana IceGators will be the Surge's most frequent opponent as the teams will meet 11 times during the season. The Surge will face the SPHL's newest team, the Mississippi RiverKings 10 times. The RiverKings will visit the Gulf Coast for the first time on November 4th.
