Clearwater Threshers News Release
CLEARWATER, Fla. - Grab your cape and shield as Super Hero Night by Planet Fitness is back on Saturday, August 20. The evening features dozens of characters from the MUCH Foundation joining guests in the ballpark for pictures on the concourse and pregame and in-game entertainment. Gates open at 5 p.m. for the 6:15 game against the Daytona Tortugas. Dress up the entire family as your favorite Super Hero characters and join in on the fun and photo opportunities. Stay after the game for a spectacular fireworks display.
The MUCH Foundation (Makers United for Children's Hope) serves children who are hospitalized or under medical care by providing personal visits from familiar, costumed characters. They also work on Custom Hero prosthetic limbs and help affected families financially and emotionally during their most difficult times. The evening serves as a fundraiser for the MUCH Foundation's mission of hope and joy. The foundation has four divisions: Hospital Heros, Enhanced Prosthesis and Wheelchair, Financial Assistance, and Public Relations and Support.
From the foundation's Facebook page: facebook.com/muchfoundation
"Our organization is not searching for a cure. We are caring for and improving the lives of the children who are everyday waiting for those cures to be discovered.
Makers United for Children's Hope is an international community of professional artists, engineers, custom fabricators, roboticists and costumers. By working together with your donations, we have dedicated our varied fields of expertise to making a child's time in the hospital and their recovery time at home a better experience for the child and their families. Your donations directly affect the path of a child's recovery in their darkest hour and bring much needed financial and emotional assistance to the families, who are the real heroes at home."
