The Pittsfield Suns (15-22) took home a marathon 5-3 victory over the North Shore Navigators (19-22) on Tuesday at Fraser Field.
With the score tied at three, reached on an error, plating Devin McGrath.
Jamin McCann handled the North Shore Navigators' lineup with ease, racking up 11 strikeouts. McCann allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings.
Nick DiBenedetto had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the seventh inning, and homered in the ninth inning.
Adam Krol recorded his first win of the year for the Pittsfield Suns. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered one hit.
Cole OConnor (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
