Al Zachary had three extra base hits, sparking the Pittsfield Suns (7-8) to a 10-6 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-9) on Sunday at Wahconah Park.
He doubled in the first, second, and fourth innings.
Garrett Hudson had an impressive outing against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' lineup. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just one hit off of the the Pittsfield Suns' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Naushon Galbraith brought the heat against the Pittsfield Suns during his outing. Galbraith held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Craig Lacey recorded his first win of the year for the Pittsfield Suns. He allowed three runs over five innings. Lacey struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Riley Sorenson couldn't get it done on the bump for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
The Pittsfield Suns' Eric Hamilton, Brian Moskey, Colin Ridley and Zachary combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
