
Mrowka Helps Torrington Titans Down Pittsfield Suns 8-6

Cooper Mrowka went 2-4, helping the Torrington Titans (6-9) to an 8-6 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (6-8) on Saturday at Wahconah Park.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.
Malachi Emond pitched lights out for the Torrington Titans. Emond held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.
Justin Morhardt racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Ryan Simpler put together a nice outing. Simpler gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Brandon Shileikis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
