Jimmy Ricoy collected three hits as the Nashua Silver Knights (25-19) took home a 2-1 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (24-20) in eight innings at Holman Stadium on Tuesday.
He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.
Tom Hudon brought the heat against the Pittsfield Suns during his outing. The Pittsfield Suns managed just one hit off of Hudon, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Tyler Bell led the Pittsfield Suns' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Mitch Holt held the Nashua Silver Knights scoreless for 5 2/3 innings. Holt allowed four hits, one walk and struck out four.
Trevor Holmes got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over one inning. Holmes struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.
Alex Lagos (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
