Suns Outdone by Lops and North Shore

Nick Lops collected four hits, sparking the North Shore Navigators (7-13) to an 11-7 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (8-10) on Wednesday at Fraser Field.

He singled in the fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Steve Dill paced the Pittsfield Suns at the plate. Dill went 3-4 and scored three runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Cole Chandler improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the North Shore Navigators. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Perry Kulaga was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
