(HAGERSTOWN, Md.) Hagerstown starter Pedro Encarnacion and two relievers teamed up to shut out the Lexington Legends 6-0 on three hits Friday night. It was the second straight shutout win for the Suns, who blanked the Legends 7-0 Thursday night.

The Suns took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a triple by Tony Renda and a ground out by Wes Schill.

The rest of the scoring came in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Wilmer Difo walked and stole second. Renda walked, and both runners advanced on a passed ball.

Schill grounded out, scoring Difo and sending Renda to third. Shawn Pleffner walked and Brandon Miller singled, scoring Renda as Pleffner advanced to third. After Alec Mills relieved Legends starter Aroni Nina, Estarlin Martinez drew a walk, and Will Piwnica-Worms singled home two more runs, giving the Suns a 5-0 lead. A single by Stephen Perez brought Martinez home with the fifth run of the inning.

Encarnacion (4-3) pitched the first five innings and got the win. Nina (1-3) was the losing pitcher.

Game three of the four-game series will be played Saturday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
