Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The 2008 Central Hockey League Ray Miron President's Cup Champion Arizona Sundogs today announced that they have partnered with TeamBorsheim.com in an effort to help raise money and show support for recently-injured Colorado Eagles player Les Borsheim.
Borsheim was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Colorado on June 1 before being air-lifted to a local hospital where he underwent successful surgery to address his injuries and stabilize his condition.
Former teammate and Captain of the Oklahoma City Blazers Tyler Fleck, has designed and oversees TeamBorsheim.com. The site features updates on Les' condition, a message board for fans to leave well-wishes and various ways to help financially, including the ability to make donations and bid on sports memorabilia.
"(Les) and I played together for a couple years and when something goes wrong, your teammates are supposed to pick you up," said Fleck. "There are a lot of people involved and showing their support, and that will definitely help Les get back on his feet."
The Sundogs efforts include both a financial contribution and donation of autographed memorabilia. NHL parent club the Phoenix Coyotes has also joined forces and has donated several pieces of autographed memorabilia.
Fans interested in helping are encouraged to visit TeamBorsheim.com.
