
Sundogs Climb To Third Spot In Final CHL Coaches Poll

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League have climbed to the third spot in the most recent and final edition of the bi-weekly CHL Coaches Poll, based on voting by the league's 17 head coaches. The Sundogs, winners of nine-straight to close out the 2007-08 regular season, finished with a 39-19-6 record. The Southwest Division champions received 129 points in the poll.
The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs own the poll's top spot for the fifth consecutive time with a 44-14-6 regular season record heading into the playoffs. Rounding out the top five are the Laredo Bucks (#2), the Youngstown SteelHounds (#4) and the Colorado Eagles (#5).
The Sundogs open their second round playoff series this Friday at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley as they take on the number three seeded New Mexico Scorpions. Game time is set for 7:05pm.
