Summer Pro League To Start This Saturday In Maywood

Maywood, CA. The 2007 ABA Summer Pro League hosted by the Maywood Buzz will start this Saturday, August 4th at 4pm when the Gym-Rats from Japan will do battle with Team PitBull Energy Drink, and will run everyday till the ABA SPL Championship Game Saturday, August 11th at 6pm. "This is very exciting to be hosting the ABA SPL," stated Burrel Lee III. "We will have over 70 players playing this event. Each player will have a chance to showcase his talents in front of me as well as other coaches and GM's in the ABA from the West Coast."

All games will be held at the Maywood Activity Center, home of the Maywood Buzz, located at 4801 East 58th Street, Maywood, CA 90270.

The ABA SPL schedule can be found at www.hometeamsonline.com/abaspl. Here we will have team rosters, player photos, bios, game by game stats and much, much more. Also select games can be heard on "Buzz-Cast Radio Live" by visiting the ABA SPL website or going to www.audiosportsonline.com and clicking on the ABA SPL link. All 3 games on Saturday, August 4th will be broadcast live with the voice of Los Angeles Basketball, Mr. Sonny Wells, who is also the voice of the Maywood Buzz.

Daily admission to all games is free to the public. There will also be games, prizes and many other interactive activities for fans of all ages. Also, after every game players will be available for autographs and photos.

A few players that will be playing will be Will Burr, George Stathoulis, Schea Cotton, Ronel Mingo, Kenny Jackson, Herb Gibson, Cecil Brown, Jonathon Davis, Marcell Jackson, Warlance Foster, Cheo White, Rashaan Smith, Jamar Cramer and many more.
