NEW YORK (Friday, March 6, 2009) - This Sunday, March 8, the dream continues for thousands of aspiring young players around the nation as Major League Soccer and its participating teams unveil plans for Sueño MLS 2009 - the nationally televised search for soccer's top young undiscovered talent. The announcement will be made live (ET) on Univision's popular nationally-televised weekly sports show, "República Deportiva" (Sports Republic).
Entering its third year, Sueño MLS has already discovered several standouts, including first-year winner Jorge Flores, now a professional with Chivas USA and a member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team. This year, the project expands to new cities, making the 2009 edition of Sueño MLS the biggest to date.
