CHICAGO, IL (March 6, 2008) - The Chicago Fire is proud to announce that the team's 2009 Season Opener on Saturday, March 21, against FC Dallas in Frisco, Texas, will be aired live on WFLD-TV FOX Chicago. The Fire will once again partner with regional broadcast Fox affiliate My50 Chicago WPWR-TV to air 12 of the Fire's 30 MLS regular season games through 2009.
The 2009 Fire broadcast team will have a similar look with play-by-play announcer Fred Huebner and color analyst Chris Doran. The Fire are pleased to welcome Amy Freeze, meteorologist for WFLD-TV FOX Chicago, as the Fire's sideline reporter. Freeze will contribute to the broadcast during Fire home games.
