TOPEKA, Kan. - The Topeka RoadRunners of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that forward Cam Strong has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.

Strong, the RoadRunners' captain, will enroll in the fall of 2016. The Billings, Montana, native is in his second season as a RoadRunner and has posted 32 points (10 goals, 22 assists) in 39 games this year. His plus-minus rating is a +16.

The Big Green are members of the 12-team ECAC.

"I am honored to be heading to a tremendous Ivy League institution like Dartmouth," Strong said after announcing his decision. "The coaching staff, the facilities, the tradition and the education Dartmouth offers are exactly what I was looking for."

The Big Green has made four NCAA Frozen Four appearances and won the ECAC title in 2006.

Strong's coach, Josh Kamrass, said his player is headed down a tremendous path.

"Getting an Ivy League education is something that Cam was focused on, and we couldn't be happier for him," Kamrass said. "Cam has the type of character that the RoadRunners look for in players, and the organization is very proud of him. All of his hard work is paying off."

Strong said he is grateful for the opportunity given by the RoadRunners.

"I'm so glad I made the decision to come to Topeka," Strong said. "It's a top-flight organization and the players are treated first-class. The memories I am taking away from my junior days, with my great teammates, will last forever."

Strong is the second RoadRunner to commit to a Division I school this season. Earlier, Topeka goaltender Tyler Johnson announced his decision to play for the University of Maine Black Bears in Hockey East.
