* AMAURI DEBUTS AGAINST MIAMI FC WITH A GOAL Last week the Strikers signed former Italian international forward Amauri, who is best known for his time with Juventus, Parma, Napoli and Torino. With the score 0-0, Amauri entered Saturday's match in Miami as a 76th minute sub, and got on the end of Jose Angulo's cross to mark his debut with an 86th minute goal in the 2-0 win. Amauri had a chance to make it two in two games with a late opportunity in Jacksonville that sailed just over the crossbar.

* TOUR DE FLORIDA The Strikers finished a run of four successive games against interstate opposition in four different cities with a 1-1 draw iin Jacksonville on Wednesday. Fort Lauderdale began this period with a 1-0 win at Lockhart Stadium against Jacksonville and then lost a hard fought 2-1 decision in St. Petersburg against Tampa Bay the following week, followed by a 2-0 win in Miami.

* THE BOSS Defender Gale Agbossoumonde has played every single minute of NASL competition this season. The defender has also captained the Strikers in the last four matches.

* CORRALES STARTS Jorge Luis Corrales, who signed with the team on July 14th, and has started every game since in the left back position and has worked well with Agbossoumonde and Julius James or Dalton supporting him. He continues to show strong discipline and ability to help stimulate the attack moving forward on the left side with overlapping runs.

* JOSE ANGULO ON FIRE Jose Angulo has recorded two goals and an assist in the Strikers last three games.

* TIES THAT BIND FTL and OTTAWA Paulo Jr. spent the 2015 and part of the 2016 season with the Ottawa Fury FC. Strikers Assistant Coach Phillip Dos Santos served as Technical Director of Ottawa from 2014 to 2015. Fury FC forward Giuseppe Gentile spent the Spring Season in 2016 with Fort Lauderdale and defender Rafael Alves played for the Strikers from 2014-2014.

* CENTRAL BROWARD STADIUM Starting with this match,, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers will play the remainder of their Fall Season NASL home matches at Central Broward Stadium in Lauderhill, Fla. The facility has hosted MLS Combine in the past along with the FC Barcelona Soccer School.

The Fort Lauderdale Strikers are part of the 13-team North American Soccer League (NASL). Fort Lauderdale has made the postseason four times in five NASL Modern Era seasons. The club's history dates back to 1977 and the original NASL. The Strikers play at Central Broward Stadium.
