FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (October 24, 2013) - The Strikers (5-2-5, 17 pts) head to the land of 10,000 lakes to take on Minnesota United FC (4-2-6, 14 pts) this Saturday, October 26th at 7:00 pm at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, MN.

The Strikers scored a regular-season, franchise record six goals, defeating the 2013 Spring Champions Atlanta Silverbacks by a final score of 6-2 at Lockhart Stadium. Iván Guerrero received NASL Player of the Week honors after notching 4 assists in the victory. The recipients of those assists, Martin Nuñez, Yaikel Pérez and Bradlee Baladez, all were named to the NASL team of the Week for their performances. Nuñez scored his team leading 5th goal, and Pérez and Baladez scored two goals each.

In the last match against Minnesota United FC, the Strikers dropped a 3-1 decision at historic Lockhart Stadium. Despite creating a number of scoring chances in the second half, the Strikers fell on goals by Max Griffin and Pablo Campos, and an own-goal by defender Rafael Alves.

"It's not going to be an easy game for us," said Strikers head coach G-nter Kronsteiner. "We're going into their home and it's going to be very cold during the game. But our guys have a lot of confidence right now from the last game, and they want to end the season on a good note. As long as we continue working hard during practice and for the whole game, we have a good chance."

Minnesota United FC are coming off three consecutive losses and will be looking to end their final game at NSC Stadium on a positive note. Minnesota are led by Pablo Campos and Simone Bracalello who have combined for 16 goals and nine assists, accounting for 50% of the team's 2013 offensive output.
