FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Saturday, June 6, 2015) - Fort Lauderdale Strikers midfielder James Marcelin has been named to the Haiti national team's 35-man preliminary roster for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Marcelin, 28, has represented Haiti on more than 20 occasions. His last cap came against the Chile national team in an international friendly at the Strikers' Lockhart Stadium on September 9.

Haiti will name its final 23-man roster on June 22. The team kicks off the tournament on July 7 against Panama at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, and will face the United States and Honduras in Group A action.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound defensive midfielder was a member of Haiti's CONCACAF Gold Cup squads in 2007 and 2009.

Marcelin has made five appearances in competitive matches for the Strikers in 2015. He made 15 appearances, all starts, for the Strikers in 2014 as the club reached the NASL Championship Final.
