Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves are taking hockey to the streets of the Mississippi Gulf Coast with the first Street Wolves summer hockey clinics, which will give area kids a chance to develop their hockey skills and love for the game free of charge at different locations this summer.

"We're really excited to start the Street Wolves program," said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "Each clinic will give kids a chance to get an introduction to the game of hockey and learn skills, while we encourage them to be physically fit."

The Street Wolves clinics will feature a traveling street hockey rink that will make 19 stops at retail and municipal complexes in the region in June and July. At the Street Wolves clinics, Sea Wolves players and coaches will teach a variety of basic hockey skills, and then divide the participants up into teams for scrimmages. The clinics are free of charge and open to boys and girls ages six to sixteen.

The Sea Wolves will provide sticks, pucks, helmets, colored jerseys, goalie equipment, and water for attendees' use at each Street Wolves clinic. Roller skates are not permitted.

The Street Wolves Summer Tour will begin June 14 at Rouse's located at the intersection of Cowan and Pass Roads in Gulfport. Street Wolves clinics will also be conducted at the Ken Combs Pier in Gulfport on June 23, Prime Outlets in Gulfport on June 26 and July 16, the Donal Snyder Community Center on June 24 and July 14, Crossroads Shopping Center in Gulfport on July 10, July 17, and July 24, the Gay-Lemon Complex in Ocean Springs on June 25, July 11, and July 25, at North Woolmarket Elementary School on June 27, the Harrison County Skate Park in Gulfport on June 30 and July 31, and Singing River Mall in Gautier on July 8 and July 29.
