
Street Fleet takes flight Saturday in Pearland

Houston, TX â The Houston Aeros have announced that they will conduct "Street Fleet" programs in conjunction with local parks and recreation departments throughout the summer. Pearland will host the first edition of the FREE street hockey clinic this Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Independence Park. Street Fleet, which aims to cultivate the sport of hockey at the grass-roots level in the Houston area, is open to everyone.
Mascot "Chilly" will be on hand along with Strike Force, the Aeros' entertainment team. The team's "Slap Shot" inflatable will be there as well, as fans can work on their shot with the help of Aeros staff. The programs will also include free food and beverages (while supplies last).
The other Street Fleet programs are listed below.
June 19 â Conroe Parks and Recreation (Candy Cane Park, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.)
June 26 â Bellaire Parks and Recreation (Site, time TBA)
July 4 â Sugar Land/First Colony Parks and Recreation (Lost Creek Park, 8-11 a.m.)
July 24 â The Woodlands Parks and Recreation (Site, time TBA)
