Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that kicker Adam Hicks has re-signed for the 2007 season. Hicks has scored 575 points in his four seasons with the team. Hicks is also the team's all-time leader in field goals with 93 and extra points (PAT) with 296.
The former University of South Dakota kicker was 21-of-56 in field goal attempts in 2006 and was 75-of-85 in PAT's. Hicks has led the team in scoring during each of his previous four season with the team. In 2006, Hicks accounted for 138 points, which is the third most in one season in Storm History. Hicks was named to the 2005 All-UIF Second team after leading the league in field goals made with 25 and PAT's made with 80. Hicks was also named MVP of United Bowl I after connecting on a 35-yard field goal with three seconds left in the game to give Sioux Falls their first ever championship.
Hick set the Storm record for most points scored in a season in 2004 when he scored 157. During that season he also set the team record for most field goals in a season with 26. Before joining the Storm for the 2003 season, Hicks spent time in the Sioux City Bandits organization.
Storm President Colin Steen says, "We really didn't know if Adam would return to the Storm and kick again this season because he really has nothing to prove. But with a lot of other veterans returning to the team and a chance to defend our Back-To-Back Championships, Adam couldn't stay away."
Season tickets for the 2007 season are on sale now. Call the Storm office at 332-4225 to reserve your seats for 'The Greatest Show in Town" as the Storm look for three championships in a row in 2007.
