
Storm Wins Both Ends of Home and Home vs Moncton

(Charlottetown, PE) The win Sunday afternoon in Moncton was a little more comfortable than the overtime win in Charlottetown Saturday night as the Island STORM beat the Miracles 97-87 to reach 19 wins against just 8 losses so far this season.
On Saturday night in Charlottetown the STORM needed overtime to beat Moncton while Sunday afternoon in Moncton the STORM lead reached 20 in the second half before winning by 10.
Nick Evans scored 20 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double to lead the STORM. Nick Okorie scored 18 points to go with 5 assists, Mike Martin had 16 and 6 rebounds, Sammy Zeglinski 12 points to go with 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals while Brandon Robinson scored 12 and grabbed 9 boards.
For Moncton Chris Matthews scored 16 while Troy Brewer had 15.
With the two weekend wins the STORM continue to lead the Atlantic Division by 4.5 over the Halifax Rainmen. The Rainmen beat Windsor Express Sunday afternoon in Halifax and that means the STORM is still battling it out with the Central Division Leader for the overall NBL Canada lead The Express and STORM each have records of 19-8.
Next action for the STORM comes up this Thursday night in Saint John against the Mill Rats and then home for the STORMS annual Islander Day game Monday February 16th against the London Lightning at 2pm.
