City and Island Storm Partner on New Year's Eve Event

The Island Storm is pleased to once again partner with the City of Charlottetown to host a free Family Tailgate Party in advance of a New Year's Eve matchup against the Moncton Magic.
The tailgate will take place on Monday, December 31 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Trade Centre building, which is connected to the Eastlink Centre on Kensington Road.
"We invite everyone to join us for some free, family entertainment to help ring in the New Year," said Deputy Mayor Mike Duffy. "It is a long tradition for the City of Charlottetown to offer New Year's Eve programming and this year, we're trying something a little different by partnering with the Island Storm on this fun tailgate party, complete with a pyrotechnics show. And, for those who wish to take in the game between the Storm and Moncton Magic afterwards, the team is offering free youth tickets to make the game more accessible to families. We hope everyone has a great time and joins us to welcome 2019!"
Island Storm players and staff will be serving complimentary hot dogs, drinks and dessert to all who attend the free event. In addition, there will be bouncy castles, face painting, a photo booth and other family-friendly activities. A pyrotechnic show will take place at the end of the tailgate party and kick off the Storm game.

"The New Year's Eve game is a great tradition for the Island Storm, and it's great to see the event grow with our tailgate party supported by the City of Charlottetown. Charlottetown has always been a huge supporter of the Storm and this is another way to work together to bring great entertainment to the Eastlink Centre"
After the tailgate celebration, all are invited to make their way to the Eastlink Centre for the Storm game. The team will be offering a free youth ticket (valid for fans 12 years old and under) with the purchase of an adult or senior ticket.
