
Storm Win Fifth Consecutive Championship

Sioux Falls, SD- The Sioux Falls Storm ended the perfect season by winning the United Bowl Championship for the fifth consecutive year. The Sioux Falls Storm improved to 16-0, after winning against the Nebraska Danger on July 11th at the Storm Shelter. The Storm had a 62-27 victory.
The game was a back and forth battle but the Storm would ultimately prevail. The Storm would first strike in the first quarter when Lorenzo Brown would throw a five-yard strike to James Terry. That would put the Storm on top at 7-0 after Parker Douglass' extra point was successful.
Brandon Johnson-Farrell, the 5'10" wide receiver from University of Rhode Island owned the longest play of the night with a 49-yard kickoff return. Johnson-Farrell finished the game with 57 total yards, 44 rushing yards on eight attempts and 13 yards on four receptions with one touchdown. Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown threw for 144 yards while completing 12 out of 14 of his passes, throwing a total of four touchdowns. Brown also rushed for 30 yards on nine attempts with one touchdown. Brandon Johnson-Farrell was named the United Bowl MVP.
James Terry finished the game with 36 rushing yards on two attempts and 50 yards on four attempts, compiling three touchdowns. Judd Harrold finished the game with 39 yards off of two receptions and one touchdown. The Storm Thunder Defense compiled 50 total tackles, one interception, eight pass breakups and one block.
The Danger's quarterback, Jameel Sewell threw for 188 yards while completing 17 of 39 of his passes, Sewell threw two touchdowns one interception. Sewell also rushed for 32 yards on five attempts. Marcus Barnett finished the game with 60 yards off of five receptions and one touchdown.
