Storm Take over Top Spot in Atlantic Division

(Charlottetown, PE) It was another team effort by the Island STORM Sunday afternoon at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown as 6 STORM players scored in double figures enroute to a 107-104 win over the Saint John Mill Rats in front of 1,530 fans. With the win the STORM now have won 4 in a row and have taken over 1st place in the Atlantic Division of the NBL with a 5-4 record.

After having his best game in a STORM uniform on Saturday night in Halifax, Rashad Whack followed up with an even better game Sunday scoring a team high 24 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and handing out 8 assists in leading the STORM. Brandon Robinson scored 21 with 8 rebounds, while Mike Williams scored 14, Louis Birdsong 13, Olu Famutimi 11, and Nick Evans 10.

Anthony Anderson led all scorers in the game with 39 points while Kenny Jones had 24.

The STORM play two home games this coming weekend by hosting the Brampton A's Friday night at 7 pm at Eastlink Centre and the Moncton Miracle Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
