TAMPA - Brett Dietz passed for 352 yards and a franchise record-tying eight touchdowns as the Tampa Bay Storm (5-6) defeated the Arizona Rattlers (3-9) 59-50 Friday night in front of 16,044 at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Terril Shaw led all receivers with 144 yards receiving on eight catches to go along with his three scores. Lawrence Samuels had nine receptions for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Samuels also grabbed an interception on defense, earning the game's Ironman honor.
Sherdrick Bonner completed 23 of his 41 attempts for 337 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the Rattlers. Keyuo Craver and William Fields each had an interception.
The Rattlers return home next Saturday night as defending ArenaBowl champion Chicago will enter the Snake Pit.
