TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm have signed free agents defensive back Kevin House, wide receiver Hank Edwards and fullback/linebacker Ricardo Dickerson today, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced.
House, a 6-0, 195-pound defensive back from the University of South Carolina, signed a two-year deal with the Storm. House finished his college career with four interceptions, five sacks and 135 tackles. He also recorded 11 tackles and four passes defended in the National Football League.
He signed with the New Orleans Saints as a rookie free agent in 2002 before the San Diego Chargers signed him off of the Saints Practice Squad. He spent two seasons with the Chargers. In January 2005, House signed with the Seattle Seahawks and who then allocated him to the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe. He remained with the Seahawks until April of 2006.
Edwards, a 6-3, 180-pound wide receiver from Texas Southern University, made an impression on the Storm following an impressive open-workout. During his senior year he led the Tigers with 679 receiving yards, 41 receptions and three touchdown receptions, ranking eighth in the Southwestern Conference in receptions per game and receiving yards per game. He finished his collegiate career with 80 receptions for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns.
Dickerson, a 6-0, 260-pound fullback/linebacker, is a rookie out of the University of Maryland.
