Storm Sign NFL-Vet Dogins

TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm have announced the signing of rookie OL/DL Kevin Dogins, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced today.

Dogins, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound OL/DL, has spent six seasons in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1996, 1998-99) and Chicago Bears (2001-02). He was also in training camp with the Atlanta Falcons (2003) before signing as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Texas A&M-Kingsville standout played in 47 NFL games, starting in 17 contests.

The 33-year-old from Eagle Lake, Texas finished his career (1992-95) as a Javelina being named to the CoSIDA NCAA Division II All-America in 1994 and 1995. He was also named to the C.M. Frank All-America team in 1995.

The 2006 Storm football season, presented by Champs Sports, gets underway January 29 versus the Philadelphia Soul (3 pm, NBC, 1250-AM), with the home opener on February 10 against the National Conference Champion Georgia Force. For more information visit www.tampabaystorm.com or call 813.301.6600.
