Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce the signing of JaRon Harris for the 2011 season.
The 6'1" receiver will join a loaded Storm receiving corps. The Sioux Falls Washington and SDSU alumni was a rookie free agent with the Green Bay Packers in 2009. He was released from the Packers in late August making it to the final cut. Harris spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons in and out of multiple NFL camps.
"JaRon will bring local flavor along with his NFL talent into an exciting 2011 Storm Camp," said Todd Tryon. "He immediately will up the competition level at an already competitive position."
The SDSU alumni was named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team in 2008 after finishing his 2008 season with 70 receptions for 966 yards and 11 touchdowns. The standout receiver was also named to the Second Team All-Great West Football Conference in his 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Jacks. As a freshman, Harris was also earned Honorable Mention All-Great West Football Conference honors as a return specialist.
