Sioux Falls Storm News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce the signing of kicker Miles Bergner for the 2018 season.
Miles (6'0, 225 lbs) will be returning for his second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Bergner played for the Colorado Crush during the 2017 season where he finished his 2017 campaign by converting 16 consecutive kicks, having a 100% conversion rate on extra points and an 86% conversion rate on field goals.
He played collegiately at the University of South of Dakota where he is the Coyotes' all-time leading scorer with 276 points. Bergner was the 2016-17 USD Male Scholar Athlete of the Year and was named a First Team All-Missouri Valley Football place-kicker. Miles was one of 11 players selected to the FCS ADA All-America Team.
In high school, Miles participated in the U.S. Army All-American game as a senior after being named to the Kohl's All-American team as a junior. He was twice named First Team All-State, First Team All-Northern Conference and Northern Conference Special Teams Player of the Year.
"We are excited to bring Miles back to South Dakota where he is very well known," said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Miles has the capability to make a kick from anywhere on the field. I would not be surprised if Miles gets an opportunity in a NFL camp while kicking for the Storm."
