Sioux Falls Storm News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm are pleased to announce the return on wide receiver Alonzo Moore for the 2022 season.
Moore (6'1, 195) returns for his second season with the Storm. During the 2021 season, he tallied 267 yards and six touchdowns. In 2020, Moore played for the XFL's Seattle Dragons. Moore also spent time with the San Antonio Commanders of the AAF in 2019. Before that, in spring of 2017, Moore was a hot prospect for the Kansas City Chiefs. As an undrafted free agent with solid Pro Day stats, he was among five wide receivers the Chiefs brought to minicamp.
Moore played collegiately at the University of Nebraska where he finished his Nebraska career with 60 receptions to rank in the top 35 in school history and was just shy of joining the Huskers' 1,000-yard receiving club. Moore also became involved in the running game in his final two seasons, carrying the ball on end-around plays and contributed in the kickoff return game during his career.
"Getting Alonzo to return to the team is huge. As Alonzo became comfortable in our system, he established himself as a leader and a playmaker," said head coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Alonzo is going to have a big season for the Storm in 2022."
