Storm Prepare for Playoff Matchup against Rival Rattlers

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The #8 seeded Sioux Falls Storm will travel to face the #1 seeded Arizona Rattlers in the opening round of the 2021 IFL Playoffs. The game will kickoff on Sunday, August 29 at 5:05 PM CT.

The Rattlers look for revenge from the 2019 United Bowl, but the road goes through the Indoor Football League's reigning champions, the Sioux Falls Storm.

The Storm have played the Rattlers twice this season with each team taking one win on their home turf. They last played on July 24 where the Storm lost 33-59. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 11 passes for 116 yards for one touchdown and one interception. Brown also rushed for 46 yards. Running back Nate Chavious rushed for 12 yards along with 25 reception yards and Tre King rushed for 33 yards. Wide receivers Brandon Sheperd had 49 reception yards and one touchdown and Alonzo Moore had 42 reception yards and two touchdowns along with one passing touchdown. Linebacker Marquis Hendrix led the Thunder Defense with nine total tackles. Defensive linemen David Marshall had one pass break-up. Defensive backs Trey Wafford had two tackles for loss and Jermaine Robinson had one pass break-up.
