
Storm plunges the Steelheads

Gary, IN: The Gary Steelheads traveled to Great Lakes to take on the Storm for the first time this year, and the Storm were not gracious hosts, defeating the Steelheads 101-96. The Steelheads managed to win one quarter point, the 4th quarter. The Steelheads were tied with the Storm at 88 all at the 3:21 mark when David Graves hit two of his game high 24 points. The Storm thundered back and held on for the victory.
David Graves led the Steelheads with 24 points in the loss. Lonnie Jones, in his first start of the season contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Jemeil Rich had 13 points and 10 assists for his fourth consecutive double double on the season. Four Storm players scored in double figures, led by Kasib Powell with 24 points. Jackie Butler chipped in with 23 points, Mark Jones had 21 points and Ezra Williams had 19 points for the 3-0 Storm.
The Steelheads travel to Rockford to take on the Lightning on Saturday night before hosting the Storm on December 4th. Tickets are still available for the contest and can be purchased at the Steelheads office. For further information call 219-882-4222.
