March 13, 2009 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm will kickoff their ninth season on Saturday as the team travels to Bloomington, IL to take on the Extreme. The Storm will square off against the Extreme after beating them in the 2008 UIF Championship last July.

The Storm hopes to start off the season right, adding to their 4-1 all-time record against the Extreme. The last time the two teams met was in the UIF post season, where the Storm won their fourth straight UIF National Championship. "On paper, this is the best team we have had so far," Storm Vice President and General Manager, Ryan Rickert said on Friday, "we hope to get a better idea how well our new guys and returning guys mesh as a team. We're excited to open the season and go for our fifth straight championship."

Fans won't have to wait for the highlights or game recaps in the morning paper or evening news if they want to get a peak at the 2009 Storm team. While the Storm open the 2009 season in Bloomington against the Extreme, Rookies Bar and Grill, located on Louise Avenue will start the season off right with showing the live web stream broadcast through the B2 Network on their big screens at the bar. Fans can join others and enjoy the great food and wonderful service from the staff at Rookies while they cheer on the Storm.

Season Ticket holders can pick up their season tickets on Saturday morning, from 8am to 10:30am at the Pizza Ranch on E. 10th Street, connected to Sunshine. Season Ticket holders can pick up their season ticket holder shirts and meet with Lightning Girls and Storm Staff while they enjoy donuts. Season Ticket holders who come in to get their season tickets at Pizza Ranch will receive a free pizza coupon from Pizza Ranch for the next time they stop in at the East Side Pizza Ranches.

The first Storm HOME game will be SUNDAY March 29th at 3:05pm against the Beef from Omaha.
