Storm names Combs general manager

MILFORD, CT "" (December 2, 2005) The Oklahoma Storm of the United States Basketball League (USBL) announced today, the hiring of Josh Combs as their new General Manager. "I am very excited to become part of the Oklahoma Storm team and the community of Enid," stated the new business leader of the Storm, Josh Combs. "We plan on taking another step forward with the Storm, being in the community year round is very important."

Combs is a recent graduate of the new M.B.A. program in Sports Business Management at San Diego State University. A 1998 graduate of Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, he also received a bachelor's degree in International Business from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 2003. Combs also worked for the Tulsa Drillers baseball team during the summers of 2004 and 2005.

Former Storm GM and Head Coach, Bryan Gates will serve as Team President and Randy Wagner will serve as the Chairman of the Executive Committee for the new ownership group. Gates is currently the Assistant Coach of the Austin Toros of the NBA Developmental League.

"We were looking for a general manager with Enid and Oklahoma community ties," Owner Randy Wagner commented on the search for the new GM. "Josh fits those requirements along with past experience in professional sports."

Combs and his wife, Chesley, will now make their home in Enid.
