Chicago Storm News Release
Chicago (Tuesday, March 22, 2005) â Chicago Storm Head Coach and General Manager Frank Klopas released the following statement Tuesday afternoon regarding the events during the Cleveland Force at Chicago Storm match March 19:
"I am very sorry for the incident that marred our game against Cleveland on Saturday, March 19. The Storm organization apologizes to the fans in attendance, the Cleveland Force, the UIC Pavilion staff, Comcast SportsNet and their viewers and to the game of soccer. It was a very poor display and we are looking to move forward from this incident. We do not condone fighting or any physical behavior on or off the field. We are working with the MISL Commissioner and other league officials to sort through this situation and move on. Once again, I am sorry to everyone and I hope we can move forward and enjoy the rest of the season."
The MISL will make additional announcements later this week once the incident has been fully reviewed.
