The two teams didn't trade scored until the third inning as both starting pitchers started off strong.

Storm starter Matt Lollis picked up three of his five strikeouts in the first two innings as the Storm pitching staff held the Sixty Sixers to only five hits in the night.

Inland Empire sent Major Leaguer Dan Haren to the mound in a rehab start who went five innings allowing seven hits but held the Storm to only two runs.

In the third, the Storm scored first when Chris Bisson hit a line drive to right field that rolled and Bisson came up with a triple. He would score when Noel hit a bunt down the third base side and came up with a single.

Noel would pick up the second run for the Storm after collecting his 65th steal of the season and scoring when Justin Miller hit a line drive single to right giving the Storm a 2-0 lead.

The Sixty Sixers would answer back and take the lead on consecutive singles in the bottom of the third. Taylor Lindsey would allow Drew Heid to score off a walk when Casey McElroy threw the ball out of reach of Connor Powers and Lindsey ended on second base.

Lindsey would score on a single to center field by C.J. Cron. Cron would advance to third when Gomez mimicked Cron's single to center field and he would score on the next single by Randal Grichuk giving Inland Empire a 3-2 lead.

The Storm regained the lead when the Miller-Medica team crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly and a single to left field giving the Storm a two-run lead. But it was Gomez's jack that held the second half leaders to collect another win.
