Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce the re-signing of Parker Douglass for the 2013 season.
Douglass, a South Dakota State Alumni earned All-Great West Football Conference First Team honors his senior year with the Jackrabbits, was named GWFC Special Teams Player of the Year in both 2005 and 2006 and set 19 school records in his four seasons with SDSU, breaking many of NFL and SDSU alumni Adam Vinatieri's records.
Douglas was with the Storm briefly for the 2009 season before signing with the Cleveland Browns. He has also spent time with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints. Parker returned to the Storm in 2010.
"One of the aspects that many people do not think about is the kicking game," quoted Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "We are lucky to have the best in the league. Parker is a seasoned veteran that has kicked in many leagues including the NFL."
Parker currently helps out at his family business in Nebraska while volunteer coaching for Augustana College in Sioux Falls where he currently resides.
