
Storm Host Frisco for First Time

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm (5-5) will host the Frisco Fighters (7-2) on Saturday, July 31st for a 7:05 PM kickoff.
First Premier Bank and South Dakota Army National Guard will serve as the presenting sponsors of the game. The team's annual Military Appreciation Night will honor local veterans and active duty members of the military. Military personnel (active or retired) can purchase $8 tickets for friends and family at the KeloLand Box Office at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. Spectra Foods is giving away one Free Popcorn to all active & retired military personnel, pickup your popcorn box by the Storm Merchandise Stand.
The Storm look to get back in the win column after a 33-59 loss in Arizona. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 11 passes for 116 yards for one touchdown and one interception. Brown also rushed for 46 yards. Running back Nate Chavious rushed for 12 yards along with 25 reception yards and Tre King rushed for 33 yards. Wide receivers Brandon Sheperd had 49 reception yards and one touchdown and Alonzo Moore had 42 reception yards and two touchdowns along with one passing touchdown. Linebacker Marquis Hendrix led the Thunder Defense with nine total tackles. Defensive linemen David Marshall and Cory Thomas each had one pass break-up. Defensive backs Trey Wafford had two tackles for loss and Jermaine Robinson had one pass break-up. Kicker Parker Douglass made three out of four extra points and two field goals.
The Fighters look to extend a one-game win streak after defeating the Northern Arizona Wranglers 33-30.
