
Storm Headed for Omaha

Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm (7-0) is headed south to face the Omaha Beef (3-4) in a United Conference matchup this Saturday, April 28 at 7:05 p.m.
The Beef handed the Storm its only loss for the 2011 season in a 37-41 upset on the road. The Storm is coming off a 76-49 dismantling of the Nebraska Danger while the Beef defeated the Cedar Rapids Titans 50-44 last week.
Against the Danger, quarterback Chris Dixon II led the Storm with a 20 for 27 passing performance with 248 yards and six touchdowns. Carl Sims had six receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns while James Terry caught five passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns in his return to the Sioux Falls Arena.
Korey Williams was voted Player of the Game after five receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown. He also added 76 yards and a touchdown on two kick returns. On the ground, Dixon II had six attempts with 61 yards and three touchdowns.
Defensively, Kenneth Akridge had eight tackles (six solo) and one of three Storm interceptions. Stewart Franks and Kwaheem Smith had the other two. The lone sack of the game was split between Jeremiah Price and Sean Kelly.
Dixon II lead's the league with 1964 yards passing (280.6 per game) and has thrown 36 yards and only four interceptions for the season.
For the Beef, James McNear threw for 165 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for another touchdown. Leroy Banks led the team with seven receptions, 78 yards and a touchdown while Allen Burrell had four catches for 49 yards and two scores. Defensively, Peter Buck had 12 tackles (eight solo) and Joseph Faifili had a sack.

The Storm returns home to face the Tri Cities Fever on May 12 at 7:05 pm.
