Storm Head Coach Joe Salerno NBL Coach of the Month

(Charlottetown, PE) The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Joe Salerno of the Island Storm has been named Coach of the Month for January 2015.
Salerno, who is currently in his fourth season as an NBL head coach, achieved an 8-2 record in the month of January, the best record in the NBL. This is the second time Salerno has received this honour; he was previously named Coach of the Month in January 2013.
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Kevin Young of the Halifax Rainmen has been named Player of the Week for the week ending February 1, 2015.
Young, a 6'8" forward who played collegiately at Kansas, dominated with 32 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists in Halifax's 103-101 win over the Moncton Miracles on Sunday afternoon.
Other players who were considered for Player of the Week honours included Sammy Zeglinski (Island Storm), Ryan Anderson (Windsor Express) and Brent Jennings (London Lightning).
