RALSTON, NE - The Tri-City Storm edged the Lancers by a final score of 3-2 on Friday night in game one of the two-game weekend series.
The game did not see the first goal of the night until the second period. Alex Campbell (0:35 ) notched his 5th goal of the year. Jack Randl broke past the Storm defense to get a breakaway shot on Daniel Allin. Campbell snuck in to find the loose puck next to Allin to sneak it in past him. Minutes later, Davis Burnside (2:26) netted his first goal of the season to even the game 1-1. The Storm would add on to their lead on their fifth power-play try of the night to make the score 2-1 going into the first intermission.
In the third period, Felix Carenfelt (4:54) would add on to the Storm lead making it 3-1. The Lancers would answer back with a goal from Jackson Decker (7:16). The Lancers pulled McClellan for the extra attacker but could not get the puck past Allin as the Storm took the win 3-2.
The Lancers and Storm are back in action tomorrow night for game two of the weekend series. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm. All the action can be heard on KOIL 1290 AM and seen on HockeyTV.
