Philadelphia, PA (Sunday, December 12, 2004) – The Chicago Storm dropped a 9-5 result this afternoon to the Philadephia KiXX at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA. Storm midfielder Andy Guastaferro tallied a goal and two assists in the contest and midfielder Andy Rosenband added two goals for Chicago to bring his weekend total to four and season total to seven. "The team worked very hard today after playing last night and traveling early this morning," said Storm Head Coach and GM Frank Klopas. "Philadelphia is a very good team and we knew they would come out strong after being on a losing streak. We have to do some little things better and capitalize on our opportunities. The team works very hard and they are improving."

Guastaferro helped the Storm take an early 2-0 lead in the first quarter when the former Philadelphia midfielder found Jorge Valle at the far post, where the Mexico native tapped in his sixth goal of the season at 4:50. Chicago forward Awadalla Morad continued his scoring burst with his seventh goal of the season in six games as he registered a power play goal at 4:08 of the third quarter to tie the game 4-4. T

he Storm dropped to 6-6 in the Central Division, putting the "Yellow and Black" in third-place in the division, two and a half games behind the league-leading Milwaukee Wave (8-3) and a game and half behind St. Louis (7-4)

The Storm played without leading goal-scorer Byron Alvarez, who was left in Chicago after suffering an injury to his left ankle in last night's 10-6 victory over Baltimore at the UIC Pavilion.
